Manifesting - Energy

Anyone new to the idea of manifesting would certainly be forgiven for wondering what on earth energy has to do with creating your ideal life. The mind might wander to thoughts of kinetic energy, wind turbines and solar panels, or perhaps physical energy (something I’m sure many of us would like to manifest first thing in the morning)!

Yes, these are totally valid definitions and constructs of energy, but the form of energy that we relate to in this work is the non-physical force that makes up every single thing, person, plant, in the universe.

Now don’t worry friends, we won’t be diving into a whole Science lecture here (although if you have a curiosity about quantum physics, bookmark this for later), but it’s important to grasp that what we are working with is based on science and universal laws of nature. No ‘woo woo, hocus pocus’ in sight!

“You are a living energy field. Your body is composed of energy-producing particles, each of which is in constant motion. So, like everything and everyone else in the universe, you are vibrating and creating energy.”

- Shirley J Smith

The key here is to recognise that everything vibrates on an energetic frequency. You, me, whatever device you’re reading this on right now...is vibrating on its own vibrational frequency...this includes your thoughts.

Why is this important?

Because the things we desire in our life also have their own vibrational frequency.

Our aim in manifesting is for our thoughts to become an energetic and vibrational match with our desires - so that we can then allow them into our lives (more on that fun part later!).

“You will only attract to yourself energy that matches up with your energy. You will only attract vibrations that match up with your vibration." - Kaiser

To summarise - if you can align your thoughts to believing you already have the things you desire, you are aligning your energy to open up to receive them. This requires you to feel deserving of them.

The Emotional Guidance Scale (Abraham Hicks), shows us the emotions that shift us into a space to manifest and receive - anything on the left, from Contentment up to Joy, will raise us into a space where we are vibrating on a frequency of allowing.

Spiritual energy teacher, Christie Marie Sheldon’s concept of ‘Love and Above’ works in harmony with this scale, teaching people to work on the beliefs that don’t serve them and help them work through their fears, so that they can rise up through the scale into their highest energetic frequency possible. (A frequency equal to love, or above, on the scale).

You’re never expected to jump from fear all the way to joy in one step, the idea is that you move your way through the different emotional frequencies, one by one, until you reach the highest vibration possible for you in that moment. This is not to say that you shouldn’t feel negative feelings that arise for you, this is very important (hello, we are human!), in order to bypass your emotions - they absolutely need to be felt. However, in the context of manifesting, it’s important to know that reaching a higher frequency of belief and love is going to be more of an energetic match for the things/people/circumstances you’re wishing to align to.

In the same breath, I don’t subscribe to the belief that feeling a lower vibrational thought should fill you with fear that you will attract something on that level. According to Abraham Hicks, these feelings provide us with ‘contrast’, we know we do not feel good, so this sends out a signal of what we do want and allows us to re-focus, as we work our way up the scale.

It is our dominant, that is, our base vibration, that will be the point we manifest from, rather than our conscious mind.

So for example, if someone wanted to manifest a healthy relationship and wrote affirmation upon affirmation saying ‘I am in a healthy relationship’, but instinctively thought ‘I bet that couple aren’t as happy as they look’ when scrolling on the gram, you can get an idea of where their dominant vibration is and what their ‘point of attraction’ is. It’s doubtful and a bit suspicious, when it could be inspired and positive.

This is called ‘forking off’, a term coined also by Abraham Hicks, which describes what happens when you ‘fork off’, or divert, energy away from your desire, like a fork in the road. It’s often self-doubt and a lack of self-worth and self-focus that can veer us off track!

If you’re already familiar with manifesting, but didn’t receive what you wanted in the past, can you identify where the energy could have been forking off?

Sometimes it takes a bit of digging to understand your dominant vibration, it can often be hiding in your subconscious beliefs built up throughout our childhood.

If you take a moment to think about the energy you feel when you’re in a comparison spiral, which side of the feeling scale are you on?

I know for me sometimes it has been disappointment, jealousy and even grief - all in the red zone. This is why this Manifesting module is so important and why working on your comparison in tandem is also so important (as a lifetime practice, not a one-time thing!). If your vibrational frequency is always living in the red zone, you can already see how this could be cutting you off from manifesting the life you truly desire (and deserve!).

Aside from working through our CORE programme to start/continue healing your comparison triggers, what else can we be doing to raise our vibration to reach a space of joy?

It depends on each individual, but some broad examples:

-Gratitude
-Laughter
-Creativity
-Spending time in nature
-Music
-Spending time with loved ones
-Animals

For me, it’s:

-Playing with Roe and Shakleton
-Wrapping up warm on an autumn day and going for a walk on the peaks
-Listening to my favourites - Kate Bush and Elton (obviously!)
-Teaching and helping others become comparison free

For Momo, it’s:

-Cutting up fresh oranges
-Sea swimming with friends
-Dancing and stretching
-Meditating with crystals

What are yours? There are no right or wrong answers! Grab a notebook and pen and write down everything you can think of that lifts your spirits and makes you feel good! Notice when you last did some of these things on your list, it’s time to add more of them into your schedule!

Extra credit: You know we love a vision board in this club! Bring your vibration raising activities to life by creating a visual that makes you feel good just looking at it!

Need some ideas? I love Kyle Gray’s book ‘Raise Your Vibration’.

Now that we have this basic foundation under our belt, let’s move onto our next step, which helps us understand how to clearly communicate our desires with the Universe (if this word doesn’t resonate with you please choose something that represents the benevolent unseen forces in this world - The Creator/God/Great Spirit, for example!)
